(Each pixel with the characteristics of an N channel MOSFET.) Acting as the source on the FET - continuously driving "on" for each "frame render" (it's just latched in from a shift register), and the horizontal pixels corresponds to the vertical pixels (which is just a shift register pushing data for each render). If you have issues with that guy's build, this dude consistently has some of the best documented hardware hacks ever. ![]() Those two sources in aggregate and a Saturday should be all you need for a one off.Arta Tech has been developing e-readers for a number of years and have scored a major victory with the InkBook Prime. The overall build quality premium device is really solid and it won a Red Dot award for industrial design. The InkBook Prime features a six inch e-Ink Carta touchscreen with a resolution of 1024 x 758 and 212 PPI. The screen is completely flush with the bezel, this makes it easier to use the touchscreen. You can read in the dark via the front-lit display and it has 8 LED lights, which provides great illumination that is evenly distributed across the screen. Many companies have abandoned manual page turn buttons and rely exclusively on the touchscreen to turn the pages of an e-book. The Prime has buttons on the left and right side, which means you can hold it with one hand and quickly flip pages. The back of the Prime has a grooved contour that is meant to assist in holding it with one hand. I think page turn buttons are tremendous on e-readers. There is a large demographic of people who ride public transit and are holding onto a pole or guard rail with one hand and read with the other. Underneath the hood is a Quad-Core Cortex A9 up to 1.6 GHz processor and 512MB of RAM. There is 8GB of internal storage, which i s double the standard amount that ships with most e-readers. If you're handy with one you could probably make it look even better. If you feel like enhancing it further you can slot in a 32GB SD Card. Overall, it looks good and I'm not very coordinated with a dremel tool. The curved bottom edge of the Prime leaves a gap in the shell on either side, but the reader stays snugly in place. Oh, and of course I drilled a hole in the back for power button access. If you're not concerned about the magnetic feature, you could just take the tab out to match the other side. The right side buttons are harder to access with the tab in place, but I'm a lefty. Not too much to waste if I had wrecked it I removed the side edge for the buttons on the left and left the magnet closure tab in place on the right, except that I "hollowed" the tab out from the inside (to free up the buttons) and removed the shell on either side of it. The one I got is the "Famavala Case for Kindle (8th Generation)" because it was only $7.95. Thank you in advance.HI, I got a Kindle 8th generation fitted shell case from Amazon and hacked it for access to the physical buttons. I would appreciate suggestions on where to look. I just bought the inkbook prime and am looking for a good cover or case for it. There's something about the area under the envelope flap that I love on this one! It looks like the biggest difference is that the prime is thinner. OMG Flamingos!!!! Although its for the all new kindle rather than the prime. I like the black one with gold decorations on it and it has elastic at the corners.Ģ016 all new kindle 8th generation cover case new ereader kindle touch screen 6'' cover case ![]() No reviews, but I like the look of the color and how it zips up.įor Icarus Illumina E654BK 2016 Case PU Leather Cover 6" eReader Pouch Sleeve Protective free shipping with tracking WY 6 inch Sleeve Case for Kindle Paperwhite 6-Inch 7th/8th 2014 2016 Voyage e-reader Pouch for All-New Kindle Oasis E-Reader(Blue) Good luck! I seem to remember big lots used to have some cheap ereader cases, I might give them a shot before ordering from online. Amazon is sometimes cheaper and a lot quicker with prime, but they don't have everything! And sometimes the item is exactly the same as the aliexpress one, but costs twice as much. I typically buy from Amazon or Aliexpress. Usually I buy a case rather than a sleeve, but I wonder if a sleeve would protect it better when not in use since it wouldn't let sand or dust onto the screen. Here are a few I'm trying to decide between various cases. #4 anabolina 05-25-2017, 02:25 PMI haven't received mine yet, but like you, I've been searching for options.
